Recupero di appartamento in immobile di edilizia popolare degli anni 30, in case destinate ai lavoratori portuali. Si tratta dell’appartamento gemello di quello esposto a casa a San Basilio 1. La struttura aveva un tetto in condizioni critiche, ai limiti del crollo, e si trova in una zona di Venezia che era considerata periferica, ma che ha avuto notevole impulso negli ultimi anni. Abbiamo ricostruito il tetto e la facciata, modificato l’impianto distributivo che era a corridoio centrale, rifatto completamente degli impianti, aggiungendo un bagno a quello esistente, facendo una nuova pavimentazione in terrazzo alla veneziana, restaurando le vecchie finestre in legno e togliendo i controsoffitti che hanno rivelato le travature, inserendo dei parapetti in vetro per consentire la visione delle doppie altezze.
Recovery of apartment in a building of popular housing of the 30s, in homes for dock workers. This is the twin apartment of the one shown as “Home in San Basilio 1”. The structure had a roof in critical condition, at the edge of the collapse, and is located in an area of Venice that was considered peripheral, but which has had considerable boost in the last years. We have rebuilt the roof and the façade, modified the distribution system that had a central corridor, completely redone the systems, adding a bathroom to the existing one, making a new Venetian terrazzo flooring, restoring the old wooden windows and removing the false ceilings that have revealed the beams, inserting glass parapets to allow viewing of double heights.
