Il restauro di questa abitazione cinquecentesca, una delle residenze private più importanti a Venezia,
è durato circa quattro anni. Dopo avere rinnovato completamente tutti gli impianti tecnici, il lavoro
ha interessato i diversi apparati decorativi che nel tempo si sono stratificati nella casa. Restauri di
numerosi soffitti affrescati, di portali in pietra e in legno, di stucchi, di pavimenti in terrazzo alla
veneziana, di lampadari in vetro, di decorazioni murarie a marmorino, di porte e finestre di legno
originali del XIX° secolo, di stoffe e sete settecentesche sono stati eseguiti da restauratori specializzati
nelle varie discipline.
The restoration of this very important piano nobile with origins from the 1600's will take about
four years to finish. It includes renovating completely all of the electrical systems. It has had many
different interventions during the years up until the 1930's. The many existing decorative layers were
performed by highly skilled and specialized artisans and restorers and require great care – the numerous
frescoed ceilings, stone portals, stuccoed walls and fireplaces, terrazzo floors, glass chandeliers,
wall decorations in marmorino, original wooden doors and windows of the nineteenth century, and
eighteenth-century fabrics and silks.
